"लिंग आधारित हिंसा भी लड़कियों की शिक्षा में एक बड़ी बाधा है,जो लड़कियों को स्कूल जाने,प्रभावी ढंग से सीखने और अपनी शिक्षा पूरी करने की उनकी क्षमता को प्रभावित करती है।स्कूलों में शारीरिक दंड,यौन दुर्व्यवहार,धमकाना,अपमानजनक यौन टिप्पणियां,शारीरिक मारपीट और साथियों या वयस्कों द्वारा मनोवैज्ञानिक हिंसा भी इसके आम स्वरूप हैं।
